Shinaria Beach

Elephants Cave

This beautiful beach nestled along Crete’s southern coast provides a great opportunity for divers and snorkellers alike. Waters are typically crystal clear, and a rocky seabed with submerged canyons are perfect to explore. Marine life is varied here - we can see turtles, octopus, moray eels and many small fish.

Nearby, you can find the Twin Chimneys cave, with shrimp colonies and swim-throughs. Currents are minimal and the site is ideal for night diving and photography. We can see the Kourtaliotiko Gorge on your journey to the site.
