R/K Nestor

R/K Nestor

The R/K Nestor shipwreck is the main freature of Crete’s exciting new underwater dive park. Intentionally sunk in April 2025, this old Hellenic tugboat is part of a pioneering plan to promote sustainable tourism and marine biodiversity. Sitting at 16m, minimal currents and damage from the controlled explosions offer easy penetration - ideal for beginner wreck divers / wreck diving training. Artificial structures sit around the wreck, providing a base for reef development and marine life to grow.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This dive site is part of the Ombros Gialos Underwater park which is currently under construction and will be open for public in summer 2026
